Overview

Ghorepani Poonhill Trek (Commonly known as the small Annapurna region Trek) is one of the most famous trekking destinations lying in the Myagdi district of western Nepal. Popular for its easy trekking trail, this trail offers magnificent views of the Himalaya ranges such as Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Mt. Annapurna-I(8,091m), Machhapuchhre, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Barasikhar, Mt.Nilgiri South, Mt.Tukuche, Mt.Dhampus, and Mt.Hiuchuli. Trekkers can enjoy scenic river banks, picturesque forest valleys, diverse flora and fauna, Hindu and Buddhist temples, to attractive traditional villages of ethnic communities of the Magar, Gurung, Ghale, and Thakali.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :

DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN THE CITY OF ARTS & ARCHITECTURE- KATHMANDU [1400m] | (29.9oC/3.2oC)

Your adventure begins upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay, allowing you to rest and prepare for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 2 :

DAY 02: FULL DAY PILGRIMAGE SIGHTSEEING TOURS | Hail Sambhu, Jay Sambhu | Approx 10hrs | (29.9oC/3.2oC*)

After breakfast, embark on a full day of sightseeing in Kathmandu, visiting iconic sites such as Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Each location is rich in history and cultural significance, providing a beautiful introduction to Nepal’s spiritual heritage. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 :

DAY 03: DRIVE TO HILE (1,430m) via POKHARA (822m) | Drive Duration: 6-7 hrs | TREK to TIRKHEDHUNGA (1,570m) | Trek Duration: 2-3 hrs

Early in the morning, we will drive to Hile via Pokhara, enjoying scenic views along the way. Upon reaching Hile, we will begin our trek to Tirkhedhunga. This trek introduces you to the beautiful landscapes of the Annapurna region and takes approximately 2-3 hours. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at a Tea House Lodge.

Day 4 :

DAY 04: Trek to GHOREPANI (2,874m) | Trek Duration: 5-6 hrs

After breakfast, continue trekking towards Ghorepani. The trail includes a lunch stop at Ulleri (2,050m) before ascending through scenic rhododendron forests. This section of the trek takes approximately 5-6 hours, leading you to Ghorepani, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a local teahouse.

Day 5 :

DAY 05: POON HILL Trek (3,210m) for Sunrise & Trek to TADAPANI (2,630m) | Trek Duration: 6-7 hrs

On this day, rise early for a spectacular trek to Poon Hill (3,210m), famous for its stunning sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trek to Poon Hill takes about 1 hour. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, return to Ghorepani for breakfast before continuing your trek to Tadapani (2,630m), which will take around 5-6 hours, including a lunch stop along the way. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at a Tea House Lodge in Ghandruk.

Day 6 :

DAY 06: Trek to POTHANA (1,900m) | Trek Duration: 5-6 hrs

After breakfast, trek towards Pothana (1,900m), crossing the Modi Khola river. The journey takes approximately 5-6 hours, with a lunch stop at Tolka. This segment of the trek offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Upon arrival in Pothana, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a local lodge.

Day 7 :

DAY 07: Trek to DHAMPUS (1,650m) & Drive to POKHARA (822m) | Trek Duration: 3-4 hrs | Drive Duration: 1.5 hrs

Begin your day with a trek to Dhampus (1,650m), which takes about 3-4 hours. After enjoying lunch, descend for approximately 1 hour to Phedi, where you will catch a vehicle to drive back to Pokhara. Check into your hotel, relax, and enjoy an overnight stay in this picturesque city.

Day 8 :

DAY 08: Sightseeing in POKHARA (822m) | Duration: Half-day tour

After breakfast, enjoy half a day of sightseeing in Pokhara, including boating on Fewa Lake, visiting Davis Falls, and exploring Gupteshwor Cave. If you wish, you can also take an optional private tour of the Peace Stupa for an additional cost. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the beauty of Pokhara before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 9 :

DAY 09: Drive Back to KATHMANDU (1,400m) | Drive Duration: 6-7 hrs

Following breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu, a journey that takes approximately 6-7 hours. After checking into your hotel, enjoy the evening followed by a farewell dinner to celebrate your successful Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 10 :

DAY 10: FINAL DEPARTURE | To know how satisfied our guests are measured not only by how tight the goodbye hugs are but by staying in touch with us forever.

On your final day, enjoy some free time until your transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. This marks the end of your unforgettable adventure through the beautiful landscapes of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek.
