TREK
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu – The city of arts and architecture |
Embarking on our journey begins from Kathmandu, the city with the remarkable architecture dated back to 16th Century. Our team representative will welcome you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. Our representative will help you to check in to the hotel. You will be welcomed, facilitated and served with a beautiful hotel room. The first arrival day is entirely a break day. In the evening, our guests can walk around nearby touristic hubs like Thamel and Basantapur Durbar square.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu City [1345m] The city of arts and architecture |
Kathmandu valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers a wonderful mix of Hinduism and Buddhism. After breakfast we visit UNESCO world heritage sites as one of the largest Hindu temple Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddha Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa followed by Kathmandu Durbar Square sightseeing. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Flight for Lukla from Kathmanduand Trek to Phakding [2652m] Trek starts from Tenzing Hilary Airport | 3hrs
After breakfast we board a flight to Lukla and land on a steep mountain runway that brings us a new start of our trek at the village of Lukla (2,850 m). Even during the entire flight, we can enjoy panoramic sights of great Himalayas of Nepal including Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,153m), Mt. Lhotse (8,501m), Mt. Lhotse Shar (8,393m), Kanchenjunga, Gaurishankar, Ganesh, Langtang etc. From Lukla, we head upward to Dudh Koshi Valley on a well-marked trail to Phakding. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 04: Phakding to Namche [3440m] Major Trading Village | 6hrs
Leaving Phakding we cross the river twice through high suspension bridges and arrive at Monjo, the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park which was set-up in order to protect and preserve the fragile mountain environment. From here we follow the path to reach Namche which is the major trading village in entire Khumbu region. If the weather is clear we can get the first glimpse of Mt Everest. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 05: Rest Day in Namchebazar
We spend our entire day in Namche by taking complete rest in order to acclimatize to gain altitude, plan for forthcoming trips and get habituated for trekking destinations. We also visit Sherpa Museum and nearby Khunde Hospital which was set up by Sir Edmund Hillary and Everest View Hotel for sunset view of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and AmaDablam. Overnight stay at tea house lodge/ camp.
Day 06: Namche to Tengboche [3867m] A legendary monastery | 5-6hrs
The trail follows the path to the side of the valley, high above the DudhKoshi River. We will get to see some great views of mountains peaks of the Khumbu region including Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and AmaDablam. As we move downwards, we pass through several Sherpa villages and teashops and continue the hike to reach Thyangboche by following the zigzag path. The path offers awesome sights of Rhododendron bushes with beautiful birds and superb mountain scenery. Thyangboche is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region. Overnight stay at tea house lodge/ camp.
Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche [4400m] A beautiful mountain river, Imjakhola | 5-6hrs
We descend downhill from Tengboche through the forests and cross Imja Khola (River). The trail then follows the uphill path to the village of Pangboche which faces Mt. Ama Dablam (6,856m). Joy of the trek will be further escalated by the views of mountains, forests, Gompas, rivers etc. Further two hours of walk will take us to our last destination for today. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 08: Rest Day in Dingboche
After the continuous walk for seven days, we take a complete rest. We spend our entire day in Pheriche resting in order to acclimatize to gain altitude, plan for forthcoming trips and get habituated to trekking destinations. However, we can also climb up onto the ridge for the view of beautiful Mt. Lhotse and visit Imja Valley. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 09: Dingboche to Chukkung [4400m] Exploring scenic views of Nuptse, Lhotse, Chukkung Peak and ImjaTse | 2hrs |
After a day of acclimatization at Dingboche we move ahead towards Chukkung village. On the way to Chukkung we have wonderful opportunities to divulge our self in exploring scenic views of Nuptse, Lhotse, Chukkung Peak and ImjaTse (6189 m). It is from Chukum where we prepare our self to make our first crossing of a high pass, the Kongma La Pass at 5,300m. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 10: Lobuche [4910m] Via Kongma La Pass [5335m] | Clear blue lake that lies just below the pass | 7-8hrs |
After breakfast we head towards Kongma La Pass followed by steep ascent into the deep valley between Pokalde Base Camp and Chukkung village. At Pokalde base Camp we see clear blue lake that lies just below the pass. During these hours of our walk we have an opportunity to see the great view of Pheriche and Dhugla. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 11: Excursion of Everest Base Camp [5364m] & Back to Gorakshep | the trail weaves its way through ice pinnacles and crevasses of the Khumbu Glacier | 7-8hrs
A very early start is required to reach the Everest Base Camp. It takes several hours as the trail weaves its way through ice pinnacles and crevasses of the Khumbu Glacier. We trek to Everest Base Camp an easy way. However, there are several ups and downs mostly on a glacier path. There is also a lot of meandering on rough terrains. As we reach the base camp, we enjoy the incredible melt patterns and admire the gently rounded ice towers on the upper part of the Khumbu glacier. The Everest Base Camp is stunningly beautiful. We can enjoy amazing views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori mountains from the base camp. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 12: Gorakshep To Zongla [4830m] via Kala Patthar [5545m] | Sunrise in the Himalayas| 7hrs|
In the early morning we move ahead to Kala Patthar from where we can enjoy the view of sunrise in the Himalayas including the mighty Everest, and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. AmaDablam, and Mt. Thamserku. After observing Kala Patthar, we continue the journey to Zongla. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 13: Zongla to Thaknak [4700m] | Through a spur extending westward from Zongla. | 7hrs |
We again start our trekking early morning as we are going to cross the Cho La Pass (5,370 m), a steep and a little difficult ascent of a rocky ridge. Cho La Pass can be reached after a few hours of walk from Zongla. The route is one of the toughest. Our walk begins as we traverse through a spur extending westward from Zongla. The path descends to a basin across which meanders a murmuring stream crusted with ice at places. In about an hour we reach on the top of the basin readying for the triumph on Cho-La. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 14: Thaknak to Gokyo Lake [4790m] | Ngozumpa Glacier on a sandy shifting trail | 2-3hrs |
From Thaknak we continue our trekking in the morning by crossing the Ngozumpa Glacier on a sandy shifting trail. Below the trail and on the other sides is the frozen lake creaking. Once we enter the grassy ablation valley running beside the Ngozumpa Glacier, Gokyo offers its first glance. Gokyo is a seasonal village and grazing area built beside the third and biggest lake. The village has become something of a Himalayan resort without the crowd – at least in terms of the comfortable lodges with sunrooms, unbeatable views, excellent food and warm stoves. Day 15: Rest Day in Gokyo and Excursion around Gokyo Valley & Lake
We spend our entire day in Gokyo Lake by taking complete rest in order to acclimatize to gain altitude, plan for forthcoming trips and get habituated to trekking destinations. However, one can also hike around the valley and the lake. If interested, we can climb a hill at the edge of the lakethat provides astounding views of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 16: Gokyo to Lunde [4790m] | Tibetan Traders descending from the Nangpa La pass | 7hrs |
After walking for three hours we reach Renjo La where a dazzling vista of Everest itself, Lhotse, Cholatse and Taboche can be seen gleaming in the sunshine. Experiencing the Renjo La Pass is extremely exciting and challenging as we descend into the remote northern Valley. We can find some Tibetan Traders descending from the Nangpa La pass that leads through the Himalayas from Tibet with their caravans of woolly yaks laden with goods. Overnight at lodge in Lunde.
Day 17: Lunde to Thame [3800m] | Colorful Mani-Rimdu festival featuring colorful mask dances | 4hrs |
The trek is going to be comparatively easy today as we descend to Thame which is sprawling village with few lodges and offers stunning views of Thamserku, Kantenga, KusumKangguru, etc. Overlooking Thame is its famous Gompa situated amidst some fields on a hill to the west. The Gompa has three big images of Chenresig (Avalokiteswara), Guru Rimpoche and Buddha Shakyamuni. Colorful Mani Rimdu festival featuring colorful mask dances is held in this Gompa on the month of May. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 18: Thame to Namche Bazaar [3440m] | Breathtaking views of Thamo village & Khari monasteries | 4hrs |
From Thame we follow the fertile trails and descend to our first break of the day, Thamo which is the en route spot to Namche bazaar. The place offers breathtaking views of Thamo village where Khari Monasteries are located in addition to the stunning views of great Himalayas. Overnight stay at tea house lodge.
Day 19: Namchebazar to Lukla [2860m] Walking on the suspension bridges. | 6hrs
This will be the final day of the trek and the ultimate destination is Lukla. The path goes alongside the Dudh Koshi to reach Lukla. We cross several suspension bridges, pass by several monasteries and villages. Upon reaching Lukla in the evening, we have time to enjoy local drinks with Sherpa guides and porters. Overnight stay at lodge.

After having breakfast, we walk for our flight to Kathmandu. Upon reaching Kathmandu airport, our team representative will transfer you to the designated hotel. In the evening, you have free time for refreshments and shopping. Evening farewell dinner will be organized at Nepali restaurant with cultural program. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 21: Final departure | to know how satisfied our guests are measured not only by how tight the goodbye hugs are but by staying in touch with us forever.
This is the last day of your visit. You can enjoy shopping and buying souvenir to friends and relatives. We will drop you to the airport 3hrs prior to the departure time. The memories that you have shared with us matter a lot. Waving hands and goodbye hugs are just not enough, we tell our beloved guests to stay in touch with us. This is the way how we feel satisfied by our services.
